Twelve uniform volumes, 20mo., full polished dark blue calf, red title labels (I-XII), gilt, marbled endpapers and edges. Vols. I-III Miscellaneous Poems, vols. IV-VI Idylls of the King, vol. VII In Memoriam, vol. VIII The Princess, vol. IX Maud and Other Poems, vol. X Enoch Arden &c., vol. XI Harold, vol. XII Queen Mary. Head and tail pieces throughout. Some foxing, not severe, and where occurring, largely confined to endpapers, prelims., title. Text throughout affected only a little. All half-titles present, the first volume with inscription in very small hand: "Ralph St. John Ainslie/These books were rebound/June, 1880, Sherborne/d.d./To/Laura G. Ainslie/Aug. 1. 1880", and with another Ainslie signature in two further volumes. All sound, light rubbing only. A very pretty, well-preserved set.
