Six volumes, large octavo, blue cloth, gilt. The Polyphonic Period (parts I and II in two volumes, 1901 and 1905), The Music of the Seventeenth Century (1902), The Age of Bach and Handel (1902), The Viennese Period (1904), The Romantic Period (1905). Some creasing at spines, vol. I with slight wear at spine edge, vol. IV (Bach & Handel) with tears at tail of spine, but no loss; mottling at cloth, in some a little more extensive than others. Edges browned, a couple of volumes with very inextensive and light marginal pencilling. Largely free from foxing, vol. II with heavy browning at endpapers. A good, sound set.
